Electrical Harness Technician
Build sensor harnesses and electromechanical sub-assemblies for the Ditto glove from schematics and work instructions. Test, troubleshoot, and document.
What you'll do
- Build wire harnesses and cable assemblies from engineering drawings and schematics.
- Perform continuity testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on completed assemblies.
- Solder wires, connectors, and PCB terminals to spec (through-hole and basic SMT).
- Crimp, install connectors, and apply strain relief correctly the first time.
- Support prototype builds and rework alongside engineering.
- Keep documentation current; flag design or process issues that surface on the floor.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of harness fabrication experience.
- Can read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Comfortable with crimpers, strippers, heat guns, and a multimeter.
- IPC-620 certification.
- Strong soldering skills.
Nice to have
- J-STD-001 soldering certification.
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience with harness board layout.
