Electrical Harness Technician
Build, test, and document the sensor harnesses and sub-assemblies that go into Ditto gloves. This is a hands-on bench role supporting both prototype builds and production.
What you'll do
- Build wire harnesses and cable assemblies from engineering drawings and schematics.
- Perform continuity testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation on completed assemblies.
- Solder wires, connectors, and PCB terminals to spec (through-hole and basic SMT).
- Crimp, install connectors, and apply strain relief to spec.
- Support engineering with prototype builds and rework as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation. Flag issues observed on the floor that aren't reflected in the drawings.
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2+ years of harness fabrication experience.
- Fluent in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Proficient with crimpers, strippers, heat guns, and a multimeter.
- IPC-620 certification.
- Strong soldering skills.
Nice to have
- J-STD-001 soldering certification.
- Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience with harness board layout.
