Manufacturing Process Engineer
Own the manufacturing processes behind the Ditto glove as it scales from prototype builds to production volume. Focus areas include yield, cycle time, repeatability, and tooling.
What you'll do
- Improve cycle time and first-pass yield across glove builds.
- Implement statistical process control for sealing, sensor bonding, and assembly tolerances.
- Design and build production tooling and fixtures that enforce repeatability across operators.
- Author SOPs, work instructions, and control plans that supervisors can train against.
- Own process definition through NPI: prototype builds, validation units, and production ramp.
- Serve as the technical liaison between design engineering, assembly, and quality.
What we're looking for
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in manufacturing engineering for precision mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.
- Hands-on production support: yield improvement, ramp, and issue resolution on the floor.
- Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.
- Fixture design that balances repeatability with operator ergonomics.
Nice to have
- Experience with adhesive bonding, surface treatment, or sealing processes.
- Background in safety-critical or load-bearing assemblies.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
