Simulation Engineer
Lead thermal and structural simulation for the Ditto glove. Identify failure modes in modeling so mechanical iterations are informed before they reach hardware.
What you'll do
- Build and validate thermal models for sensors, batteries, and enclosures.
- Develop structural FEA models for stress, fatigue, and stiffness under repeated wear.
- Correlate simulation results with bench test data and refine model fidelity.
- Run DOE and sensitivity studies that drive mechanical design decisions.
- Present technical reports and visualizations in design reviews.
- Automate simulation workflows where it delivers meaningful time savings.
What we're looking for
- BS or MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
- 5+ years in thermal, structural, or dynamics simulation.
- FEA/CFD proficiency (ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, or similar).
- Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, materials, and mechanics.
- Python or MATLAB scripting for automation and post-processing.
